UBUZIMA BWIZA IWACU I MUNAZI
Meaning 'our excellent life in Munazi village', this group is based in Kivumu, Kamonyi district. It is made up of four men and four women who work together to supply our cleaned and rendered beeswax as well as all of our hand-dipped candles. We've been working with them since the beginning and things are going well. With the money from candle making, members of the group have made home improvements, installed solar power kits in their homes, purchased health insurance and started animal rearing micro-enterprises.
Meaning 'Tomorrow will be better' this group is based in Kivumu, Kamonyi district. It is made up of seven beekeepers who work together to produce beehives, keep bees and in time sell their honey to us. Whilst we await our first harvest, 'Beeutiful Creations' with the help of our partner NGO Ubuzima Bwiza Iwacu have been training them in beekeeping and hive management
Florida is a member of the 'Abarikumwe' Cooperative meaning people who are together. She is a bowl weaver by trade for Azizi Life. She also weaves all of our sisal strings that we use for decoration on many of our products.
EJO HEZA (BYUMBA)
Meaning 'Tomorrow will be better' this group is based in Byumba, Gicumbi district in the north of Rwanda. They're a group of youth in the Anglican Diocese of Byumba working together to care for bees and create beautiful beeswax candles.
Francine Mukamabano is a skilled potter who comes from a family of potters, in a community of potters in Muhanga District, Rwanda. Our team is working to introduce new pottery products to our collections so that we can partner with Francine as she supports her sons. She currently makes our pottery candle holders and candle votives.
